...but in all honesty I find these games a great opportunity to grade. Shhhh! He thinks I am paying attention. A couple of times tonight, Hubby's shouts have sent my purple pen flying across a student's paper. I have since shifted to the other couch to try and tone down the noise level.
Where/when do you find time to grade in your busy life? I have even taken a stack of papers to a bar to watch a non-televised game. Ha! I had many visitors at that table telling me to take it easy on my students.
Also, thanks to my my new favorite blog Ladybug's Teacher Files, I have been excitedly looking for craft paper plastic drawers to start my own reading drawers for my students. Here is her blog that explains these nifty drawers! I took "Hubby" all over the place this weekend looking for a good deal on drawers. We eventually found a decent deal at Sams. Not exactly the same as what Ladybug has but for the price I am hoping they work as good. With 25 students this year, I had to remove a bookshelf and reading table from my room to fit all my student desks and still have a meeting area for us. Therefore I lost where I stored our book boxes and decided to try keeping their books in their desks. This is not working at ALL! So, now I am eagerly waiting for my new reading drawers to arrive from Sams. I post an update as soon as I have them.
